Our History
Christ Victorious is an English-speaking church affiliated with the Quebec District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. It traces its origins to the Filipino Fellowship at Evangel Pentecostal Church in downtown Montreal, from which a founding group was commissioned in 1997 to establish a congregation in the Côte-des-Neiges area of the city. The church began as a developing assembly under the auspices of the Eastern Ontario and Quebec District of the PAOC, and in 2006 was incorporated as a self-governing assembly under the Quebec Religious Organizations Act. It rented space on Victoria Avenue until acquiring its own premises in 2009.
The church was founded by Pastor Victoria Asprec, who served as senior pastor until her retirement in 2016. Pastor Bejserlino Serra succeeded her, serving from 2017 to 2024, followed by Rev. Jean Lasanté from 2024 to 2026. Rev. Matthew Diano-Brown was elected in March 2026 and currently serves as lead pastor.
